Audio branding professionals to meet in Berlin
Brand identity and communications go beyond what can be seen with the eyes. Sound is just one of the multisensory tools now used by brands to create a deeper and more nuanced communication with their audiences.
The Hamburg-based Audio Branding Academy is holding a three-day event in May, the ABAWARDS2015, to celebrate and drive the potential of audio branding. Now in its sixth year, the ABAWARDS will welcome industry leaders to share their thoughts and experience and to learn from others and their branding work. This year the awards will be hosted in Berlin for the first time ever.
The programme will run 27-29 May 2015 and will be hosted by Humboldt University Berlin. The first day will offer a comprehensive workshop programme, the second day will feature a keynote lecture and the Award Gala and the final day will see an exclusive industry meeting of the international Audio Branding Society, the Audio Branding Summit.
The Keynote session is titled The Power of Multisense, with Olaf Hartmann from the Multisense Institute and the Award Gala will present the six nominated Best Practice Cases; Ahléns City, French Open, Fruttare, HUGO BOSS, KLM Airline and Wiener Linien. These six cases compete for the Gold, Silver, Bronze and the Audience Award.
The Award Gala aboard a boat on Berlin’s River Spree will be accompanied by composer Sebastian Gampert and his project 25helicopters (GumpMusic).
The Audio Branding Society is an exclusive business club for accredited audio branding agencies. The society aims to accelerate the professionalization of the audio branding industry. The focus is on audio with a strong underlying brand strategy.
