The shortlist for the third annual Transform Awards Asia Pacific has been revealed, with the calibre of submissions this year suggesting a real breadth of quality across the region.
The Transform Awards Asia Pacific is the only event in the region benchmarking rebranding and brand development.
“This year’s event set the bar even higher” said Andrew Thomas, publishing editor of Transform magazine. “We are delighted with both the range and quality of shortlisted companies, spanning from global brands such as PepsiCo and Nestlé, to local names such as the Zhejiang Circuit and Mandalay Rum. The shortlist this year is fantastic, and I wish all those companies on it the best of luck for the 24 November,".
GoodBaby, which has been shortlisted four times, earns the prestigious accolade of being the most nominated brand. It’s been a big year for the Hong Kong-based kids' company, and it may be hoping its work will earn it a good haul of trophies.
Elsewhere, Genting Hong Kong joins other brands such as Suntory PepsiCo and W&NH in having the opportunity to claim the coveted ‘Best creative strategy’ award for the launch of Dream Cruises, the continent's first-ever luxury cruise liner. A vibrant colour scheme was orchestrated for the project, which also saw the launch of the new brand’s website in both English and simplified Chinese.
With Transform continuing to recognise intercontinental relationships, it’s been another impressive year for British Airways – its well-received video campaign stands alone in the category for the ‘Best place/nation brand,’ which saw it release a touching six-and-a-half-minute recognition of the 90-year bond shared between the British airliner and the nation of India.
Last year’s roll call of Transform Awards winners included Alibaba, Hong Kong Ballet and HSBC, with Pizza Hut taking home the coveted Grand Prix. A full list of the 2015 winners can be seen here.
This year's judges hail from Greenpeace, Hong Kong Tourism Board, Shangri-La, and IBM, among others. The main event will take place at Hong Kong’s Harbour Grand on 24 November.
