Method brings art to the kitchen sink

Eco-friendly cleaning brand method is to launch a limited-edition collection of products featuring bespoke works of art on the packaging.

The Art Collection, aimed at nurturing up-and-coming artistic talent, features work by Adelaide Damoah, Zdenek Konvalina and Jasmine Praissitto, and will be launched in early 2020. It includes some of Method’s most popular cleaning products: its people and planet friendly gel hand wash, foaming hand wash, all-purpose surface cleaner and washing-up liquid.

Each range of products will be accompanied with a “striking” message designed “to resonate with consumers”, alongside a bespoke fragrance tailored to each artist and their works. Method’s products use naturally derived, biodegradable ingredients in 100% recycled PET plastic bottles.

Sarah Tuke, head of European Communications at Method, said: “We’ve loved partnering with like-minded talent that share our values for using creativity to create a better world, and we couldn’t be happier with the result. We now have three ranges designed for show, not to throw. We hope our customers refill, reuse and re-love the bottles to give them a life that is anything but limited. After all, they’re way too hot to hide under the kitchen sink.”

Marine Tanguy, CEO of MTArt, which represents the three artists, added: “I’m thrilled that MTArt Agency and three of our talented artists are partnering with an exceptional household brand, Method. Art can inspire and challenge people, and I think Method is setting an exciting precedent by turning the artists to market their products.”
