Dept and Tribe Company transform Eurovision Village in 3D virtual world
Digital agency Dept worked with Rotterdam Festivals and entertainment agency Tribe Company to create a custom-made 3D world for the Eurovison Village, which will bring a virtual brand experience to the thousands of visitors, who would normally have traveled to Rotterdam for the contest.
The 3D festival map is designed for an international audience to meet each other, enjoy performances, and dance together. Party-goers will be able to virtually cruise Rotterdam, wander through iconic places and feel the vibe of the city, allowing to fully appreciate the brand experience from the comfort of their homes.
“Everyone is welcome, and we are open 24/7, free of charge. I am happy that with the help of a next-level event experience it is also possible to give visitors a festival feeling through a mix of performances, tours and content that you won’t want to miss,” says Renske Satijn, director of Rotterdam Festivals.
“Since Corona, we have started to focus more on magical, virtual event solutions that connect people. Eurovision Village with millions of viewers is proof that with big thinking, even the most legendary events can be transformed into digital,” says Niel van Hoff, CEO of Tribe Company.
