From Hoppin to Orbiit: tech startup rebrands
A virtual networking community has rebranded and pivoted its business in a survival attempt, having been hit hard by the Covid-19-induced economic crisis. Tech start-up Orbiit, formerly known as Hoppin, worked with London-based design agency Lovegunn to rebrand and stay agile and afloat.
The new Orbit brand is focused on unleashing a communities potential through connecting individuals and business leaders to share their knowledge and hold roundtable discussion around critical issues. Lovegunn positioned Orbit as ‘facilitating innovation,’ bringing the concept to life by exploring community as a focal point for a member’s unique path, and the impact created when members gain insight into one another’s trajectories.
The brand’s visual identity takes inspiration from space, solar systems and planetary orbits and the ripple effects of sharing knowledge. For example, the predominant pattern is the circle, or a series of circles similar which give the look of planets orbiting. The future-focused visual language was developed across a number of key touch points to launch the new brand including a new website, digital community platform and sales tools.
