OLG partners with Creamery X to give Ontarians a taste of the millionaire life
Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation and LOTTO MAX’s limited-edition partnership with Toronto-based artisanal ice cream company, Creamery X, saw the creation of four unusual types of ice cream, each coming with a scannable LOTTO MAX free play code.
OLG and Creamery X worked with the University of Guelph and its leading food scientists to decide on what the ingredients of each of the ice cream’s flavours– Rare Oil Painting, Private Island, Designer Handbag, and Grail Sneaker – should be.
For instance, Rare Oil Painting attempts to taste like a ‘modern masterpiece’ by incorporating olive oil, fresh mid-tannins and even a hint of oil paint. Private Island, meanwhile, uses Pacific Ocean Konbu seaweed along with lychee and orange blossom to give people the taste of owning their own tropical island.
The ice creams are only available at LOTTO Max Dreamery pop-ups throughout the province, including at Harry Styles concerts in Toronto and Rolling Loud Music Festival at Echo Beach. All proceeds from LOTTO MAX Dream Bar sales will go to its charity partner, Friends of Ruby, who provide drop-in services, housing and mental health counselling to young ‘2SLGBTQIA+’ people.
Kim Clark, VP lottery and customer success at OLG, says, "The LOTTO MAX Dreamery is a way for us to encourage Ontarians to dream to the max. With the return of festivals and concerts this summer, it's the perfect time to give people a taste of winning big with these delicious, one-of-a-kind LOTTO MAX Dream Bars.
“We are especially proud to provide 100% of the proceeds made from LOTTO MAX Dream Bars sales to a very worthy charity, reflecting of our commitment to giving back to Ontario."
