Cannes Design Lions reveals shortlist
With nearly 140 entries from around the world selected for shortlist, large brands to make the grade include Nike, McDonald's and Ford.
Some of this year's most competitive Design Lions categories include 'Creation of a New Brand Identity', 'Rebrand/ Refresh of an Existing Brand' and 'Digital Design'.
Nike finds itself shortlisted in three categories, including 'Promotional Item Design', while fellow behemoth brand Ford is shortlisted in 'Wayfinding & Signage'. Meanwhile, tech giants Microsoft will hope to beat Adidas in the 'Design-driven effectiveness' category.
