Ice lolly brand Friskis receives joyful redesign
Henning Olsen, Norway’s oldest ice cream producer, sought the help of international brand design agency JDO to redesign its summer ice lolly’s identity. The agency was responsible for designing a ‘vibrant, tantalising’ packaging that could achieve freezer standout.
The core brand idea adopted by JDO, ‘Summer Spontaneity’, was used to engineer a bold and vibrant Friskis world which could preserve the brand’s essence of holding a special place in the heart of Nordic consumers.
Appealing to families and adults who seek simple and joyful refreshment, JDO utilised elements such as beach balls to symbolise playful fun. The agency was also responsible for designing the identity of the new candy-inspired flavour, Friskis Peach, which was achieved by incorporating elements that showcase the new product’s unique offering.
