WPP’s CBA Design expands into Shanghai

6Vgo4

The international design agency, which already has offices in Singapore and Ho Chi Minh city, has expanded into China as part of efforts to increase its presence in Asia. The agency hopes this move will lead to the capitalisation of opportunities in the sizeable Asian and Oceanic markets.

Following on from CBA’s China expansion, its three Asian agencies (Singapore, Vietnam and China) will merge to become a single entity, known as CBA Asia. The studio opening will be led by managing director Marion Micoud, while Ada Xu (client director), Olivia Qian (graphic designer) and Bian Wu (strategic director) have all been recruited. CBA is already well established in the region, meaning the newly merged design studio will work with a strong roster of clients which includes the likes of Savencia, Unilever and Nestlé.

With CBA Group believing its success is derived from being close to clients and their needs, its Shanghai office will be the 15th in a long portfolio which spans the globe. Over its 40 years of existence, CBA has amassed offices in Europe, North America and South America.
