DesignStudio brands new men’s preventative health and performance programme, Compound

The integrated and personalised healthcare solution, by Australian digital healthcare company Eucalyptus, required an identity with attitude and energy. DesignStudio’s Sydney office was responsible for designing the name, strategy and overall brand identity.

The Compound wordmark and icon, which aim to underline the spirit and ambition required to build a new and better you, are inspired by old and new. They were also crafted to speak to the ‘deep insight and truth’ of the company’s analytics.

The brand imagery, which reference Dexa scans (full body X-rays), moves between warm and electric tones, helping the brand to achieve standout while also radiating a trusted tone when delivering sensitive health information.

This sense of old and new was also utilised when choosing fonts Rhetorik and Neue Haas Grotesk, with the typography echoing that contrast between wordmark and icon.

James Duru, principal, APAC at DesignStudio, says, “The brand draws on gothic history and ancient codes of strength and performance, fusing them with futuristic visions of health. It provides space for its users to show up and actively rebels against category codes for something deeper. More meaningful. More Compound.”
