The annual National Black Canadians Summit, put together by the Michaëlle Jean Foundation, needed a fresh design identity ahead of its first-ever Montreal-based event in 2025. With the organisers targeting the event to become one of the biggest annual pillars for the black community in Canada, it turned to Six Cinquième to devise an identity capable of solidifying the brand’s credibility. The global strategic brand consultancy then collaborated with artist Franco Egalité, and used his piece ‘Unreality of Time’ as the design’s focal point. The abstract figure reflects the summit’s values of inclusion and empowerment, and has been incorporated into all of its communication tools.
