PayPal rebrand signals new business direction

Developed by global independent design consultancy Pentagram, PayPal’s revised identity aims to reflect how the digital payment platform has been making its customers’ lives easier since 1998. The new brand idea – making PayPal more accessible for “Everyone, everywhere” – is inspired by principles of simplicity, optimism and trust, and represented in its bold new brand identity. For instance, Pentagram’s work introduces the colour black to forefront, while the distinguished ‘PP’ logo is now a brighter blue and only used for shortcuts and bitesize appearances.
