English town Barrow-in-Furness’ transformation set to redefine its future

Branding agency Forepoint worked closely with Team Barrow to create Barrow Rising, a movement that aims to unite the town within a single vision that generates long-term impact. The project’s focus involved developing the strategic idea, narrative and identity for the brand in order to underline the town’s ambitions.

Located in Cumbria, North West England, Barrow plays host to national defence, advanced manufacturing and energy innovation industries, but it failed to have a single identity to represent its significance as a town. Forepoint’s role was to speak to workers, businesses and those in a position to develop infrastructure with the creation of a new place brand.

Its new website has already launched, marking the first phase of the project. It demonstrates to stakeholders the opportunities available to them as well as the plans of major projects already underway. The next phase of the Barrow Rising will aim to drive further interest and bring project to life that will truly change the town.
