Starbucks’ Refreshers visual update hopes to take Chinese market by storm

Global brand design and experience agency Marks was called on by Starbucks to craft a new bottle shape and visual identity for Refreshers, its ready to drink (RTD) range. With the drinks considered crucial to the American multinational’s growth in the Chinese market, it was felt the Refreshers rebrand required attitude and individuality. Marks’ work features a “disruptive and eye-catching” personality, according to the agency’s vice president of design, Danny Lye, that plays on themes of abstract patterns and vibrant, optimistic colours.
